So...I just have to say although I LOVE 'Everyday Paleo' the above picture was just my own creation. So to answer your question Marco, the chicken herbs (I think rosemary) as well and S & P. I quickly browned the chicken, and then added it back to the mushrooms to add flavor!

Oh. Just read the post above. Is that you Marco? From the cafe? It's Carrie. :)You are right. This is all a lifestyle because it's a way of thinking and it radiates out into the rest of our lives in more than one way. Diets do work though, it's just a word play (diet vs. lifestyle) and a matter of commitment and passion.

Thanks for the link to Everday Paleo. It's a good reminder that all we have to do is throw out the old idea of what a three course meal looks like. I like to think of my diet having 3 food groups - protein, fruits and veggies and fats.

I stayed on a paleo diet for at least 4 months last year when I had body fat to lose. Now that I have lost that body fat it was a tad harder for me to get back on the horse even though we already lean the paleo direction to start with but I have tendonitis and have found that omitting gluten from my diet really makes a difference and it makes me a happier person because I'm not suffering from annoying pain. Fish oil is an anti-inflammatory too so maybe that helps but I think that gluten is the major culprit when it comes to inflammation problems.

I found out about Paleo three or four years ago.
I have been on and off since then, more on then off on the last year. I call this a lifestyle and not a diet, given that diets suck and don't work! What keeps me on it: I feel healthier, get less sick, recover faster from work outs, have a steady level of energy and yes I was able to loose some blob in the process. I do dairy, love the idea of cheat days (not the aftermath) and drink wine (it's in my job description).
Oh yeah I was forgetting....big fan of fish oil.
Ryan: is that all black pepper on the chicken?
