New Class and PR Thursday

by Ryan on April 14, 2010

Great news everyone!  We are proud to announce a new class to the schedule.  We will be having a Wednesday 9am class starting next Wednesday (4/21).  We look forward to seeing you all there.

It is Thursday again, and you all know what that that means… PR Thursday.  I want to hear some PRs from people who haven’t spoken up yet.  I know I have seen lots of PRs in class this week, and if you don’t say it, I’m gonna call you out!  I have to brag on myself for a moment because I tied a PR this week AND got a photo of it.  I hit 395 on the deadlift, and I’m pretty excited about rounding the 400 pound corner.  A big thanks to Niki V. for getting this photo.

I’m done bragging about myself.  Time for you to brag about yourselves.  Let me know about a max weight lifted, best time, or an eating PR.  Did you stay Paleo for an entire day for the first time?  I want to hear about it.

Hey Guys,
I wanted to post a PR for Thursday 4/14… Marco led the class through deadlift for our strength piece and AMRAP for 15 minutes of push-ups, pull-ups and squats with 200M run in between. Marco is always excellent and very technical and detail oriented which I love! I dead lifted 165 pounds. This does not sound like much compared to Ryan’s 295 lbs, but it was 40 pounds over my previous personal best. Even though I have been Crossfitting for about 6 months, this was still a relatively new exercise for me. I feel that because I have been coming to class a little more consitently, I have had more frequent deadlift practice sessions. I am now way more comfortable with it.

Thanks!

Every kid in the teen’s class posted PR’s in the deadlift on Monday. It is amazing to see them discover how much strength they really have in themselves. You guys are all awesome! Keep up the good work.
