Off and Running

Wine Country CrossFit is off and running. We are a growing group of CrossFitters of varying abilities. Our commitment to work, to functional movement, to doing whatever it takes to stay out of the nursing home is what binds us together. We get results because we add the magic component of intensity to the lifting, pushing, pulling, jumping, gymnastics and running that we do. We work hard while the body screams at us to stop. We rest and let it adapt so we can go again, and this time bigger and harder.

Between the ages of 40 and 60 the human body loses between .5 and 1% of muscle mass per year. That’s a LOT of loss, and makes sense when we look around our world. But, there is a way to counteract that loss, and it is available HERE: Resistance training retards the onset of muscle loss that starts at age 40. Practice lifting heavy things with good form and you will find the fountain of youth.
