The Wine Country CrossFit training methodology is unlike any other gym class, bootcamp, or fitness program. We implement various tools to help our clients reach their fitness goals, from nutrition guidance to expert coaching on complex movements. Our program is comprised of Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, kettlebells and basic gymnastics movements—we don’t do machines, and we don’t do gimmicks. We focus our attention on being extraordinarily effective at coaching our clients to move efficiently to realize their athletic potential and achieve their fitness goals as quickly as possible. To ensure that all of our clients are provided with every opportunity to succeed, we require everyone to get started at Wine Country CrossFit in one of four ways:On-Ramp Series, Private On-Ramp, Personal Training Sessions, or by Testing Out.
Still can’t figure out which is the right step for you, then come to our FREE Introductory Class. We offer these classes on Tuesdays at 3.30PM and Saturdays at 11.00AM. During the hour we garner information about you, teach you three movements, and run you through a short workout. After we have watched you move and gotten a sense of your goals we will know the best way to get you started, and you will know if this is for you.
The On Ramp Series is designed for the generally active, injury free individual who wants ultimately to train in one of our ongoing group CrossFit classes. In this 9 class series you will be exposed to our movement curriculum in a group format. Movement techniques will be drilled as well as a progressive introduction to the intensity levels that are inherent in our group classes. The On Ramp Series meets 3 times a week for 3 consecutive weeks. Once you have finished the entire On Ramp Series, you have a week to attend our regularly scheduled classes for free before starting a membership or class punch card.. Please note, if you have pre-existing injuries or are deconditioned, additional private coaching sessions may be required before moving into our fast-paced group classes. Price: $180.
Are you ready to start doing CrossFit but can’t attend the On-Ramp Series because of scheduling constraints? If so, sign up for Private On-Ramp, which is four hours of one-on-one coaching with one of our CrossFit coaches. During these sessions you will work with your coach to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with our movements with the goal to prepare you to join our fast-paced group classes. The Private On-Ramp is ideal for people who have an athletic background as we move quickly through the requisite movements. Once you have finished the four one-on-one sessions, you have a week to attend our regularly scheduled classes for free before starting a membership or class punch card. Please note, if you have pre-existing injuries or are deconditioned, additional private coaching sessions may be required before moving into our fast-paced group classes. Price: $240
Do the On-Ramp Programs seem too fast-paced for you? If so, Personal Training may be the way to go. You will find the greatest success starting CrossFit with Personal Training if your needs or goals include:
· weight loss and improved body composition
· extra accountability
· you have generally been sedentary
· you are new to exercise
· you have specific performance oriented goals (triathlon, basketball, etc.)
· you are pregnant or have just had a child
· you have an orthopedic injury
Your coach will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level and progress at the proper pace for you. Personal Training is $85 an hour. You receive a 5% discount when you purchase a five pack, and a 10% discount on the purchase of 10 sessions.
If you feel confident and comfortable performing basic gymnastics movements (i.e. pull-ups, dips, handstands) power lifts and Olympic lifts (ie. clean and jerk, snatch, deadlift, squat), you can request to test out of the On-Ramp and gain immediate access to our fast paced group classes. Call us to schedule a time to come in and demonstrate your competence with one of our coaches. We have extremely high standards, so if you are unsure as to whether you are a candidate for testing out, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of our On Ramp Programs. Free Intro Classes
Can’t decide how to get going, or which avenue is for you? Come to one of our FREE introductory classes. We offer them on Tuesdays at 3.30PM and Saturdays at 11.00AM. In this 45 minute class we will show you three movements, run you through a short workout, and teach you some of the methodology behind CrossFit. By the end you will know whether CrossFit is for you, and we – after watching you move – will know the best way to get you going.
